Proposed Symbols for Fictional Currencies : American Wizarding Confederation Lion

In the Alexandra Quick series of Harry Potter fanfic stories, the American monetary unit is the Lion. I thought "how would magicians symbolize a lion... oh, right." The dot, borrowed from the alchemical symbol for gold, seems like a good parallel to the crossing lines so common in Muggle currency symbols.

Nice. Have you thought about what symbols would be used for Galleons and the like?

It turns out they made movies based on those books :)

From http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Wizarding_Money . On Pottermore they use ʛ since the real symbol isn't in unicode.

Very cool. I just imagined they'd use a stylized "L", but I like your alchemical symbol.
